Caucus vs Primaries

A caucus is a series of meetings for members within a state. It’s a closed meeting only for members who will vote for delegates who will voice their opinions on presidential candidates.

Primaries allow more voters to participate. There are closed primaries, which offer more participation than caucuses because voting is not limited to members. The people who have declared an affiliation to a party are allowed to participate. They simply have to say which party they vote for, Democrat or Republican, these primaries only allow one.
Open primaries allow any affiliation party to participate, Democrat or Republican, but not both.
Blanket primaries allow all affiliations to vote, Democrat and Republican.
